Oh my soul... How great it is to rest in assurance that I have been redeemed by the glorious blood of Christ. That I am no longer an object of wrath but an object of righteousness made perfect in his love displayed for us on the cross. And that the Spirit of his eternal greatness is within me and has empowered me to do all things through him who gives me strength. I am so thankful that I serve a God who is compassionate and merciful and so full of grace that there is no sin of mine that exceeds his ability to forgive. Glory to Jesus Christ my Savior and Lord forever and ever. Amen!
The LORD is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;
he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
As a father has compassion on his children,
so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.
As for man, his days are like grass,
he flourishes like a flower of the field;
the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.
But from everlasting to everlasting
the LORD's love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children's children-
with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.
Psalm 103:8-18

This passage is interesting in that it talks about fearing God, perhaps a different concept that we're used to hearing. But fearing, or having awesome respect for, God is indeed good. Those who don't fear God will fail to respect His awesome power and righteousness, nor will they recognize the infinite distance between their sins and His grace.
Keep up the good posts, John!
